The set of stained-glass windows created for Rue du Regard meets a dual requirement. On the one hand, the need to hide a view of the courtyard that can be seen from the windows of the entrance and the kitchen, on the other hand, the desire to achieve a quiet but present composition.

This is how the choice of glass displayed on the stained-glass windows was exclusively focused on very assertive textures that act as a filter for the eye. They offer a real mask that hides the view but remains totally translucent.

To design the stained-glass windows, I was inspired by the orthogonal lines of Mondrian’s works. However, instead of the large flat areas that the painter would have drawn, I preferred to turn to a rhythm of lead and red. This is how the very fine lines of glass emerged: they punctuate the whole and allow the creation of a unique graphic universe. The bright and luminous berry-like red echoes with several elements of the apartment’s decoration, in particular an abstract painting that adorns the kitchen and interacts with the stained glass windows-
