This piece was inspired by organic elements such as a blooming flower, a wave and bird in flight. Depending on how you look at the creation, you can see each of these things. I’ve always liked equivocal abstract patterns and designs that have more than one interpretation.
Far from the Art Déco style that is often seen in stained-glass, this creation is an original gesture that demonstrates another aspect of my artistic work. The piece was first conceived on paper with watercolor and pencils before I put it into glass. I chose a blue flashed glass that I painted and sandblasted to achieve the nuances in color and sharpness of the lines.
It will be exhibited in October 2021 at the Paris Fair “Les Rendez-vous de la Matière”.
The bird-flower piece is for sale. For more information, you are welcome to contact me.
