This project was designed as a decor for Ondine by Giraudoux, launched on stage in November 2016 (Compagnie du Catogan). The three panels were conceived in a monumental fashion so as to look more dramatic on stage and convey the tormented atmosphere of the third act. Water is a recurrent theme throughout the play and was thus the main source of inspiration for this project. Act III is all at once tragic and poetical which explains the heavy contrasts of colors in the panels and the combination of soft blue and opaque black. On stage, the spotlights cast their colorful highlights on the actors’ white clothes (dimensions: height: 1.35 m, width: 0.75 m).
