Oil Tanker

Stained glass conceived for a corporate headquarters in Paris

Petroliere (oil tanker in Italian) is the result of my collaboration with the architect Cyrille Parlos. This monumental stained glass panel depicts an oil tanker, and adorns the corporate headquarters of an oil company in Paris, symbolizing the company’s industrial activity.

The stained glass panel was inspired by a painting by the Venetian artist Giovanni Soccol. It took months of work to “rewrite” the picture and transform it into a stained glass composition. Now the panel recreates the painter’s original touch on glass, in a nuanced array of hues.
