Stained-glass creation rue Maubeuge

A modern composition with a hint of Art Deco

These four stained-glass windows create a "glass wall" effect in the entrance of this apartment. All the windows overlook a grey courtyard, which the stained-glass windows serve to conceal while enhancing the room while giving life to the light in the room.

To match the sage green hue of the entrance walls, I chose a very similar shade of glass that connects the stained-glass windows to their surroundings. The other colors act as brighter accents: the steel blue and the vibrant olive green are much darker and bring out the elegant tones that dominate the room.

The composition plays with codes: the border effect is a reference to the Haussmannian aesthetic of the 1920s, the play of geometric rhythms is inspired by Art Deco, but the curves and asymmetrical cabochons give this piece a more modern and unexpected look.
