Art Deco windows in Juan-les-Pins

When the background view plays a part in the composition

In this Art Deco house from the beginning of the 1930s, the staircase plays a leading role in the architecture and is richly ornated by a majectic chandelier.

The Art Deco windows complete the picture by adding glass textures and light effects that echo with the chandelier. While conceiving the panels, I felt the necessity to prevent the stained-glass from blocking the view onto the beautiful garden. On the contrary, I wanted the glass to allow the spectator’s gaze to enjoy the greenery and sky. For that reason, I only worked with light textures and kept the lead work to a minimal structure to convey both delicacy and simplicity.
