Art Deco with palmette ornaments

A design by Hava Castro

In the entrance of this haussmannian apartment, the stained-glass windows add to the charm of the space while obscuring the view of the building opposite. The textures of the glass preserve the amount of light in the space but prevent the gaze from seeing through the windows. The colors of the stained-glass windows lively resonate with the surrounding decorative elements.

The design embraces the classic codes of Art Deco, emphasizing curves and palmettes. The colors, however, are a departure from those used in the 1930s and firmly anchor this project in its time.
