Art Deco Windows near Duroc

Creating gradients with textures

The stained-glass composition designed for the office in this haussmannian apartment near Duroc hinges around textured glass and its diverse effects. On the left panel of the window, the strong textures hide the view onto an old building, whereas the light textures on the right side allow to see and enjoy the vegetation behind.

The textures are conceived as gradients of white, stronger on the left side and gradually turning into more transparent kinds of glass as we reach the right stained-glass panel. Some pieces of glass have been sandblasted and their white satiny ponctuation adds structure and rythm to the lead work.
