Elsass Restaurant

Within the panoramic frame I chose to bring verticality to the composition by focusing on the evocation of a weeping willow tree. This idea guided the whole composition. The choice of glass echoes the shades of the fabrics on the benches and highlights the shades of green already present in the restaurant. The light textures blur the exterior that we can sense through the windows. The piece is made up of three panels displaying an identical composition but each painted motif is unique. Each piece of glass, painted by hand, presents a distinct play of foliage which catches the eye.
