Art Nouveau Style

Intertwining curves

Art Nouveau is one of the traditional expressions of stained-glass.

Characterized by its lyrical representation of Nature as well as the flexibility of its curves, Art Nouveau stained-glass is also distinguished by the use of richly colored glass with expressive textures. I particularly like the interlacing and weaving lines that Art Nouveau often displays. When I work on an Art Nouveau theme, it is this stylistic signature that I chose to develop. Intertwining lines bring refinement and rhythm to my compositions. They allow variations in density in the drawings. I also love to create graceful curves that will highlight the graphic quality of the intertwining lines.
